We send a test message right away, and it includes a private link to pause, change or delete the subscription. Keep webhook URLs private: anyone with one can post to your channel.

Where to get a webhook URL

Slack: create an app with Incoming Webhooks (api.slack.com/apps), add it to a channel and copy the URL.
Discord: channel settings › Integrations › Webhooks › New webhook › Copy URL.
Microsoft Teams: in the channel, open Workflows, choose "Post to a channel when a webhook request is received" and copy the URL.
Zapier or Make: start a Zap with "Webhooks by Zapier › Catch Hook" (or a Make "Custom webhook") and paste its URL; choose JSON.
