Privacy

Commish is a beta service operated by Ritabrata Industries that helps people design or find physical products and request quotes from manufacturers.

What we store

• Designs you save: title, description, spec, must-haves, reference links, quantities, destination country, deadline, images and the prompt used for the images.
• An anonymous ChatGPT user identifier so you can see your own designs. We don't receive your name or ChatGPT account details.
• Quote requests and messages between you and manufacturers, and the manufacturer details you or the assistant provide (name, website, email or contact page).
• Your email address, only if you choose to give it for notifications.
• For manufacturers who list themselves or reply to a request: business name, website, email, country, and their quotes and messages.
• For open-request subscriptions: the feed or webhook address, a label and the categories followed.
• A daily count of clicks on links to manufacturers, per manufacturer and product category. It isn't linked to you, your design or your device.

If ChatGPT shares your approximate country, we use it to suggest a shipping destination, nearby manufacturers and local shops. We don't store it.

Who sees it

• A design's request page and PDF (images, spec and must-haves, without your email, target price or quotes) are visible to anyone with the link, including manufacturers you contact.
• If you publish a design as an open request, its title, description, spec, must-haves, quantities, destination country, deadline and images become public: on the open requests board, in its RSS and JSON feeds and API, in search engines (we notify them through IndexNow), in notifications to manufacturers who follow the category, and in posts on our own social channels. Your email, target price, private link and quotes stay private. Taking it down removes it from our site and feeds, but not copies others already made.
• Manufacturers see your email only if you choose to share it. You see the quotes, business name and email a manufacturer gives you.
• Share and search buttons open other services (for example WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Google Lens or a marketplace search) with the request's link, image link or key words, only when you click them. Those services follow their own privacy policies.
• Email delivery goes through our email provider when configured. We don't sell data or use it for advertising.
• When configured, our team gets short service notifications (for example a new design's title, or that a quote arrived), without email addresses.
• Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, stores the data on our behalf.

Links to manufacturers

Links to manufacturers' sites go through a short redirect on our site (/go/), which counts the click, and tell the site you came from Commish. Some may be affiliate links: if you order, the manufacturer or its affiliate network may set its own cookies and pay us a commission, at no extra cost to you. Their sites follow their own privacy policies.

Deletion

We keep designs and messages until you ask us to delete them. Ask us to delete your designs and messages at ritabratamaiti@gmail.com, including the design link.
